Tom Mills
Profile:
Tom is a Senior Associate in the dispute resolution team with wide experience in complex commercial property issues. Tom acts for a variety of clients on disputes across a range of sectors and asset types, including retail, offices, industrial and logistics, managing litigation from initial investigation and strategy through to trial.
Professional experience:
- Advising landowners and developers on possession disputes, strategy and constraints, including in relation to rights of light.
- Acting for landlords and tenants through to trial in relation to lease renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954.
- Contentious property management issues, across shopping centres, retail parks, logistics sites and offices.
- Advising on complex repairing obligations and in respect of disputes and settlement of dilapidations claims.
- Disputes arising from the termination of leases, including those concerning the operation of break options and forfeiture.
- Strategy for the recovery of debts and in relation to insolvency issues.
