CSR

The firm partakes in a variety of charitable activities and fundraising events

We support the London Legal Support Trust through taking part in annual events such as the Great Legal Bake and the London Legal Walk

Our trainees volunteer at a legal aid centre in central London, for which we received a nomination at the 2014 LawWorks Pro Bono Awards for Best contribution by a law firm. With our colleagues in the wider commercial property industry we take part in LandAid events and the Vertical Rush at Tower 42, which raises money for Shelter. We also compete in the annual ICAEW Tax Club Summer Treasure Hunt raising funds for TaxAid and MacMillan Cancer Support. So far in 2019, individuals from the firm have taken part in fundraising events such as Cycle to MIPIM, Vertical Rush at Tower 42 and Bake Off.

Our team so far is Anna McDowell, Tom Farrell, Tom Mills, Scott Burn, Dellah Gilbert, Emily White, Holly Watt, Helen Kearns, Robert Mullarkey, James Howland, Dersim Karadag, Susan Fitzpatrick, Teresa Wittenbach, Samuel Sidenbladh and his 4 year old daughter Helena Sidenbladh who will also be joining our walk.

Bake off

Raising money for Access to Justice

On Monday 25 February, Maples Teesdale participated in a bake sale all in the name of Access to Justice; a legal system through strategic grant making and supporting the advice sector, regardless of social background or wealth. We baked some delicious sweet and savory pastries, including a unicorn cake, which helped raise £131.39. What made them taste better was knowing that the money is going to a fantastic cause!
