Smart glasses in court are not a smart move

Smart glasses are normal looking eyewear which have tiny built in speakers, microphones and a camera. They act like an extension to your phone. 

In a recent High Court case, a judge found that a witness was using smart glasses to coach him through his replies during cross examination noting that “It is clear that a call was made, connected to his smart glasses and continued during his evidence until his mobile phone was removed from him”.  Consequently, his evidence was found to be unreliable and untruthful.  

On further investigation, it appeared that the calls were made to a contact named “Abra Kadabra”.  In the end, the only disappearing act was the credibility of the evidence itself.
