Professional experience:

  • Acting for Legal and General on the purchase of Dolphin Shopping Centre, Poole for circa £60 million, the regearing of the investment leases with the Council, circa £17 million of expenditure to upgrade the centre and its public realm; and re-lets to New Look, H & M, Deichmann and a boutique cinema operator, the reposition the Centre’s offer
  • Acting for developer, London & UK, on the acquisition and development financing of Globeworks’ student accommodation scheme in Birmingham with PGIM and Hyde Park Finance through an innovative sale and leaseback tax-driven finance deal
  • Acting for developer, City & West End, on a scheme in Savile Row, London, W1, comprising 40,000 sq ft of offices, retail and residential development.  The scheme involved a development agreement with the freeholder and a funding agreement with Standard Life.  Value of completed scheme around £40 million
  • Acting for funder, Royal & Sun Alliance, on forward funding of a retail warehousing scheme in Tunbridge Wells owned by a joint venture developer.  The property was pre-let to four tenants and the deal was completed within 2 weeks with the fund committing around £55 million to the project
  • Acting for Legal and General on purchase of a Tesco distribution unit development and adjacent railport operation from Stobart for about £60 million
