Claire is a Senior Associate in the dispute resolution team with experience in landlord and tenant matters, advising landlords and tenants in relation to lease renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, advising on dilapidations, breaks and forfeiture and advising developers and landowners in relation to rights of light.

Professional experience: 

• Acted for landlords and tenants in lease renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, break notices, dilapidations and service charge disputes
• Provided tactical advice to landlords of shopping centres on the insolvency of high profile retail tenants
• Acted for the successful defendant in the reported High Court case: Foodco UK LLP and others v Henry Boot Developments Ltd [2010] involving allegations of misrepresentation relating to the letting of a motorway services facility
• Acted for a Government Department in the renewal of their 3 leases of a large office building in south London
• Acted for a landlord in a service charge dispute with its tenants at a multi-let property in north London
