Maples Teesdale appoints Zoe Miller as new Head of Real Estate Finance
Zoe Miller to lead all-female team at the UK’s leading specialist real estate law firm
Maples Teesdale, the UK’s leading full-service real estate law firm, today announces that Zoe Miller will become its new Head of Real Estate Finance. Zoe will begin her new role on 1 April, as a partner at the firm and leading an all-female team of Associates Megan Newnham and Katherine Garner as well as a wider supporting team on development finance and commercial real estate.
Zoe has a wealth of experience acting for both funders and borrowers where she has advised on more than £500m of domestic and international real estate finance transactions covering asset classes including office, retail, residential, hotels, care homes, student accommodation and shopping centres.
Zoe joined Maples Teesdale as a Senior Associate in 2019, before becoming Of Counsel in 2022. Maples Teesdale represents some of the UK’s biggest property companies, funds and financial institutions including Pictet Alternative Advisors, Lloyds Banking Group, Maslow Capital, Patrizia, Investec and Tristan Capital.

Megan Newnham acts for borrowers and lenders on acquisition and development finance transactions. Megan originally joined Maples Teesdale in 2018 as a trainee and advises lenders and borrowers on a wide range of real estate finance transactions covering all asset classes.
Katherine Garner has been promoted to Associate, having joined as a trainee solicitor in 2021.
