Listed buildings

We are looking forward to our seminar this evening with Historic England with panellists including Duncan McCallum, Laurie Handcock, Tim Bowder-Ridger and John Bosworth – “On the cusp – what makes a modern commercial building listable and what happens to it afterwards?” Dealing with modern architecture is perhaps the most controversial area of Historic England‘s work. So how do they advise the Minister which modern commercial buildings ‘make the grade’ and should become listed? And once listed, how do they decide what is an acceptable level of change to those buildings? What are the common issues that arise as a result of listing modern buildings? hashtag#architecturehashtag#buildingshashtag#constructionhashtag#realestatehashtag#modernarchitecturehashtag#listedhashtag#commercialrealestate
