Maples Teesdale advises Patrizia on the sale of Guildhall, Glasgow

Maples Teesdale have advised Patrizia AG on the off-market sale of Guildhall, a high-quality city centre office in Glasgow, on behalf of its UK Value 2 Fund to Maya Capital for a total consideration of c.£30 million. This is the third disposal that the firm has worked on with Patrizia in 12 months, including Abingdon Business Park and The Walnuts Shopping Centre, Orpington.

Guildhall is an almost fully let landmark office building in Glasgow’s city centre totalling 145,390 sq ft. The building is situated close to all key public transport hubs and amenities, being a 5-minute walk from Queen Street and Glasgow Central stations, as well as Buchanan Street and George Square.

The Maples Teesdale team was led by Paul Burke (Corporate Partner) and Eleanor Crawford-Drake (Corporate Associate). They were assisted by Chen Ikeogu (Real Estate Finance Partner) and trainee, Megan Newnham. The firm worked alongside David Stewart at Morton Fraser, advising on Scots law.
