Profile:

Kerry is an Associate in the corporate and commercial real estate team at Maples Teesdale. She has experience in the UK and the Middle East advising clients both locally and internationally on complex developments, disposals and acquisitions of commercial property, governance, company management and negotiating commercial contracts. She handles asset management for both landlords and occupiers in retail and advises across the hotels and leisure sector. She advises private and institutional hotel owners/franchisees, property companies, multinational organisations, international and local developers, institutional investors, and governmental bodies.

Professional experience:

• Provided asset management for First Abu Dhabi Bank on its UK property portfolio;
• Acted for a US investment group on the due diligence for a £175 million acquisition of a luxury, mixed-use and prime office development in central London;
• Advised local governments and corporate groups on governance, asset management, restructuring and corporate policy to comply with regulatory requirements;
• Drafted and negotiated hotel management agreements, franchise, trademark licensing, system services, non-disturbance, technical services and other ancillary agreements against a leading global international brand for a hotel operation in sub-Saharan Africa;
• Acted for local authorities such as Westminster City Council and City of London Corporation on various long lease disposals and developments; and
• Acted on the real estate aspects of various portfolio and individual property financing and refinancing transactions across the UK.
