Maples Teesdale expands leading client practice with new partner appointment
Boutique real estate firm Maples Teesdale has announced the promotion of a new partner effective 1 November 2021.
Construction expert Joanna Preece has been promoted to Partner in the Construction team. Jo joined Maples Teesdale as a senior associate in 2016 from Herbert Smith Freehills where she also trained.
Jo has significant experience advising a wide range of clients on large development schemes, acquisitions and disposals, lettings and financings and has detailed knowledge of working and liaising with clients and understanding their commercial requirements having completed a number of legal secondments to her clients throughout her career.
Jo is the co-lead of the Maples Teesdale ESG Committee and has been participating in industry workshops looking at climate change in the built environment. She is passionate about the topic and has helped promote discussion around this area by hosting the Maples ESG webinar series “The race to net zero carbon from a development and investment perspective”.
